Engineering Development Tools

Among the engineering development tools we use in our services are revision control systems, electronics, mechanical, and various software products. 

For revision control systems, we use the Perforce Revision Control System for all design documentation. This allows any version of a document to be retrieved while maintaining a complete revision history. The Perforce Helix, for instance, allows us to store and track changes to all our digital assets, from source code to IPs.

Some electronic tools we rely on include:

  • Altium Designer for schematic capture, simulation, and layout. 
  • SimSmith Smith Chart to help us navigate complex circuitry and carry out interactive RF circuit analysis with precision.
  • For the mechanical design tools, we prefer working with SolidWorks for modeling and detailing all our designs. 

Finally, other software tools we use include:

  • Microsoft Visual Studio which allows us to develop software for Windows with C, C++, and C#.
  • Simetrix Simulation for designing circuits using SPICE (Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis) models.
  • MathCad for verification, validation, documentation and re-use of mathematical calculations.
  • We’re also familiar with Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS).

Engineering Equipment

  • We use Fluke products like the Power Quality Analyzer Model 43B and the versatile DMM Fluke 289 to make measurements with confidence. 
  • The Oscilloscope Model DPO4054, Oscilloscope Model MDO4104B-6, and Power Supply Model PS280 from Tektronix help us make precise visualizations and testing solutions.
  • We are able to push our testing limits thanks to Keysight’s Network Analyzer Model E5071C, Spectrum Analyzer Model N9020A, and Arbitrary Waveform Generator Model 33120A, the TinySA Spectrum Analyzer, the NanoVNA Network Analyzer, and the Com-Power Model PS-500 Near Field Probe Kit.
  • We also use the Laplace Model ESR to improve our emissions testing Capabilities.
